START: Take two equal-sized weight plates and place them together on their sides with the smooth sides out by your right foot. Hold them together with your right hand using your thumb on one side and your fingers on the other. MOVE: Pick the plates up and hold them at the side of your right thigh, similar to a unilateral deadlift. Hold the plates in this position for several seconds and then return the plates to the floor without letting go until you have performed as many reps as desired. Repeat with the left hand.
Take two equal-sized weight plates and place them together on their sides on the outside of your right foot. Squat down and squeeze the plates together with your right hand using your thumb on the inside plate and your four fingers on the outside plate. Stand up while holding the plates at your side in this manner. Try and hold the plates in this position for as long as you can. When your pinch grip is about to give out, return the weight plates to the floor. Repeat with the left hand. Tips The goal is to hold the plates for one minute. Once you can do that move up the next size weight plates. If the next size weight plates are too heavy to hold for a minimum of 5 seconds, try pinching 3 plates together of the weight plate size that you can pinch 2 together for more than one minute. If the weight plates have a smooth backside, hold the plates together with the backside facing out as shown in the photo.
